Blue Period Anime

Second-year high school student Yatora Yaguchi is a delinquent with excellent grades, but he lacks the motivation to find his true calling in life. Yatora spends his days working hard to maintain his academic reputation while spending time with his equally unambitious friends.

However, behind his carefree demeanor, Yatora doesn’t enjoy any of the activities and would like to find something more useful. While contemplating his situation, Yatora finds herself looking at the vibrant scenery of Shibuya. Unable to express his feelings about the unusually impressive spectacle, he picks up a brush in the hope that his thoughts will be transferred to the canvas.

After receiving praise for his work, the joy he feels sends him on a journey to enroll in the extremely competitive Tokyo University of the Arts, a school that only accepts one in 200 applicants. Facing talented classmates, a misunderstanding of the fine arts, and struggling to gain the approval of his parents, Yatora faces many adversities.

Hoping to land one of the five prestigious spots on his chosen show, Yatora must prove that his inexperience doesn’t define him.
